Following his hunger for new projects, French electronic music reference Maxime Dangles worked on the soundtrack of “Les Délivrés”, a documentary directed by Thomas Grandremy about the alarming working conditions of delivery men/women employed by platforms such as Deliveroo and Uber Eats. He’s now extending his soundtrack work with this mini album. The alienation, stress, struggle and hope of the documentary’s protagonists were his sources of inspiration. The soundtracks dressing the journey of these delivery men have been transformed into tracks, to bring Damien, Clément or Yoro's fight further and continue to denounce the excesses of capitalism. A poetic extension of the director's harrowing and necessary documentary with a great sound design, peppered with discussions from it.
« Affrontement », the first single from this 7-track LP which will be released by November 2021, talks about their fight for social justice. With raw and striking sounds, sometimes remembering sound of a factory, relates to the alienation of this kind of job. Even with a touch of melancholic, the harsh sound brings back to the struggle they are facing. Indeed, an incisive and powerful track between electronica and IDM, to push us in our thoughts.

Auteur de la bande-son du documentaire « Les Délivrés » de Thomas Grandremy, la référence des musiques électroniques Maxime Dangles vient prolonger son travail de composition avec un mini album. L’aliénation, le stress, la lutte et l’espoir des protagonistes du documentaire ont été ses sources d’inspirations. Les plages sonores habillant le parcours de ces livreurs à vélo se sont transformées en morceaux pour mener plus loin le combat de Damien, Clément ou Yoro et continuer de dénoncer les dérives du capitalisme. Une oeuvre qui vient prolonger de manière poétique le travail poignant et nécessaire du réalisateur, avec un sound design impeccable et immersif, émaillé de dialogues du documentaire.
« Affrontement » est le premier extrait de cet album de 7 morceaux. Entre electronica et agitations déstructurées, ce morceau incisif et militant illustre avec brio le combat et les revendications sociales des protagonistes du documentaire, martelé d’échos métalliques rappelant l’aliénation du travail.
